Top Selling Semflex HP Cable Now Available With Polyurethane Jacket
IEEE International Microwave Symposium, Philadelphia, PA (June 10, 2003) --Semflex Inc., a manufacturer of microwave frequency coaxial cable for the telecommunications, mil/aero and test instrumentation markets, announced that their top-selling HP cable series has been expanded to include additional sizes and an optional polyurethane jacket feature. The polyurethane jacket adds substantially improved flexibility and abrasion resistance for applications from -65û to + 85û C. Now available in five sizes ranging from HP 120 to HP 450, the HP cable series has become the industry's favorite durable cable for communication, test and military/aerospace microwave frequency applications where compliance to tight electrical specifications and/or exposure to extreme environmental conditions are required.
The HP Series delivers low attenuation performance through the use of silver plated copper inner and outer conductors. Microporous PTFE dielectrics and FEP jackets achieve consistent phase performance over temperature extremes, outperforming comparable products with solid PTFE dielectrics. Shielding effectiveness of >90 dB results from a triple shield construction of two 97% coverage braids (flat and round braid) and foil. The robust construction also provides substantially better radial torque resistance and connector pull-off strength than helically wrapped braid designs.
Pricing ranges from $ 2.80/ft to $ 12.00/ft depending on quantity. HP Series cable is stocked and available for immediate delivery on bulk reels. Rapid response, made-to-order cable assemblies are also available with a wide range of connectors and configurations. Semflex Introduces New Cost-Effective BPE Series Cable for Volume Wireless Communication Applications
WIRELESS SYSTEMS DESIGN CONFERENCE AND EXPO, San Jose, CA (February 25, 2003) --- Semflex Inc., a manufacturer of coaxial cable for the telecommunications, mil/aero and test instrumentation markets, announced the introduction of the new BPE Series cable for 50 ohm applications up to 6 GHz where microwave performance characteristics need to be managed but temperature range and higher frequency performance of PTFE dielectric is not required. Available in a full range of sizes from 0.100" to 0.600 ", BPE cable is ideally suited for antenna feeds over short distances. Smaller gauge 0.100" to 0.300" sizes offer a low cost alternative to popular RG316 and RG142 cable commonly used for interconnects and jumpers between racks, cabinets and enclosures. Larger 0.400" - 0.600" sizes offer electrical performance similar to corrugated copper cables but with greater flexibility, simplified connector attachment, and lower cost.
BPE cable offers shielding effectiveness of greater than 90 dB, derived from a combination of a bonded aluminum foil and tin plated copper braid wire. A closed micro-cell Polyethylene dielectric offers excellent attenuation properties with a micro-cell foam structure that leads the industry in return loss consistency and mechanical bending properties. Jackets are available in standard Polyethylene or fire retardant PVC. Temperature range for the product line is 40 degrees to 85 degrees C and the max structural VSWR rating is 1.25:1.
BPE Series cable fits standard industry connectors and is stocked and available for immediate delivery on bulk reels. For product information and ordering call 1-800-778-4401 or visit the company's website at www.semflex.com

High Performance LA Cable From Semflex
MESA, AZ (January 31, 2003) --- Semflex Inc., a manufacturer of coaxial cable for the telecommunications, mil/aero and test
instrumentation markets, announced the introduction of their new LA Series cable. This unique low loss double shielded cable provides
the best available combination of low attenuation, phase stability and mechanical performance in the market, and is ideal for
applications up to 18 GHz requiring low loss performance and longer cable length interconnects, such as telecom and mil/aero. The LA Series uses silver plated inner and outer
conductors for excellent attenuation performance. The low attenuation that is a feature of this cable is enabled by the
microporous dielectric PTFE material. This cable features either solid the standard FEP Teflon
or optional polyurethane jacket, engineered to provide the optimum combination of desired characteristics. Low loss, phase stability and shielding effectiveness of >100 dB result from
combining a helically served flat braid with a 97% coverage round braid. Other performance characteristics include low loss of 20 dB/100 ft @ 18 GHz and
outstanding phase and temperature stability. Pricing ranges from $13.26/ft to $9.03/ft depending on quantity. LA Series cable is stocked and available for immediate delivery on
bulk reels.

New RG+ Coaxial Cable Offers Improved Performance,
Lowers Cable Assembly Costs
MESA, AZ (November 4, 2002) -- Semflex Inc., a manufacturer of bulk cable
for the telecommunications, mil/aero and test instrumentation markets,
announced the introduction of RG+ 142, a light-weight flexible coaxial cable
designed for commercial and mil/aero applications. This cable delivers
significantly superior transmission line characteristics over standard RG cable; i.e.,
at 6 GHz the performance rating via test is 50% better in SWR (1.15:1 vs. 1.30:1)
and 22% better in attenuation (38 dB/100 vs 48 db/100 feet). In addition, RG+ is
60% lighter than standard cable and exhibits greatly enhanced temperature
stability characteristics. These combined improvements in performance enables
longer install runs without concern about signal delivery degradation.
Operating temperature range of the RG+ cable is -65/+125 deg C. The
outer shield construction consists of a braided aluminum layer over an aluminum
foil providing >85 dB of shielding. The interior dielectric is an expanded
polytetrafluorethelene providing low attenuation/high propagation velocity
through a lower dielectric constant value and superior temperature
characteristics, particularly as compared to extruded PTFE cores. This cable is
especially flexible, well suited for installation in tight spaces, and accommodates
commercially available crimp style connectors.
Pricing ranges from $2.70/ft to $0.92/ft depending on quantity, and RG+
cable is stocked and available for immediate delivery on bulk reels. For product
information and ordering call 1-800-778-4401 or visit the company's website at

Semflex Introduces Cost/Time Saving Alternative to Semi Rigid Cable

MESA, AZ (October 11, 2002) --Semflex Inc., a manufacturer of coaxial
cable for the telecommunications, mil/aero and test instrumentation markets,
announced the introduction of their new SM Series cable, a new highly
flexible product for use in applications from DC to 18 GHz. The flexibility of
SM Series cable allows designers to bypass the cumbersome and costly step of
fabricating 3-dimensional semi-rigid drawings, resulting in significant cost
savings and faster time to market. This solution is ideal for applications such
as military ECM and guidance systems, commercial antennas, commercial
communications applications, and virtually anywhere compact or densely
spaced RF interconnections are needed.
The outer shield construction of the SM Series cable consists of a
braided layer over a served foil, providing >100 dB of shielding. At 1 GHz the
attenuation of the SM402 is 11.6 dB/100 ft., slightly better than the 12.0
dB/100 ft. for typical RG402 semi-rigid 0.141 cable. Minimum inside bend
radius for SM405 is 0.15 allowing an easy fit in tight installation spaces. The
operating temperature range is -65/+125 deg. C.
Currently available in two sizes, the SM402 (for use with .141 semi-rigid
connectors) and SM405 (for use with .086 semi-rigid connectors), SM Series
cable offers a wide variety of options in connector choices.
Pricing ranges from $2.36 /ft to $1.03 /ft depending on quantity. SM
Series cable is stocked and available for immediate delivery on bulk reels. For
product information and ordering call 1-800-778-4401 or visit the company's
