Semflex of Mesa, AZ, an ISO-9001 company, designs and manufactures a broad line of standard and custom RF and microwave cable assemblies and associated components. The company's cable assembly products range from standard Twinax coaxial cable assemblies and harnesses to high performance (50 GHz /1.8 dB/ft) test and interconnect assemblies. Complete lines of adapters, connectors and components complement all cable assemblies.

Founded in 1978, the company's early history as a supplier of high performance products to the mil/aerospace industry provided the technology and the discipline necessary to satisfying the industry's uncompromising needs for performance, quality and reliability. In addition, the mil/aerospace requirements for state of the art technology compelled Semflex Inc. to develop in house technology and to vertically integrate. Later, in order to capitalize on the explosive growth of the communications industry, the company's core competencies were expanded to include the manufacturing skills necessary to supplying high volume cost effective products.

Facilities

Semflex Inc. occupies 39,000 square feet in two modern buildings in Mesa, Arizona.

The Mesa facilities provide for the normal design, marketing and administration functions as well as incorporating a machine shop, a plating lab, a cable manufacturing section and a cell based cable assembly area.

Capabilities

Semflex Inc.’s ability to contribute to the success of it's customers by providing cost effective solutions, rapid prototype turns and high reliability products is inherent in the vertically integrated infrastructure of the facilities and in the core competencies of the organization. The company is one of a few in the industry that designs and manufactures it's own cable, connectors and components.

Cable designers use proprietary software to completely characterize and model cable performance. Designs can then be quickly converted to prototype cables in the company's 2300 square foot state of the art cable production facility. At the same time connector designers use CAD/CAM design tools supported by 7000 square feet of machine tools to quickly turn out matching connectors in both prototype and economical production runs. In many cases, it is this marriage of the connector to the cable that makes the difference between marginal and superior performance.
